Queen’s Lawn Cemetery tours bring history back to life

The Grimsby Museum is bringing history back to life!

The Queen’s Lawn Cemetery Tours will be held June 20-21.

Volunteer costumed actors and actresses will bring back to life some of Grimsby’s charismatic personalities and influential citizens. The tours are educational and entertaining performances will be offered at beautiful Queens Lawn Cemetery in Grimsby. The tours will last approximately forty-five minutes.

Tickets are $10 per person while they last and must be purchased in advance at the Grimsby Museum. Space is limited. Performances are June 20 at 7 p.m., and June 21 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Participants are advised to dress appropriately for the weather and for walking through the cemetery.

The tours are wheelchair accessible. Everyone is invited to learn more about Grimsby’s history through this interesting tour.

The Grimsby Museum is located at 6 Murray Street (corner of Main Street West and Murray Street). The museum is open Wednesday to Friday from 1-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. and Wednesday evenings from 5-7 p.m.
