“Best day ever” for Smithville’s Fox run

With 82 participants and more than $10,000 raised, Smithville edition of the Terry Fox Run had a banner event Sunday morning.

This year’a amount includes more than $1,700 generated by a silent auction, more than double last year’s total.

This day always brings out the best examples of the human spirit, and I am so grateful to all who choose the Smithville Terry Fox Run as part of their family tradition. This event is months of planning, but without the dedicated volunteers we have every year, it wouldn’t run as smoothly as it does,” said Karen Post, event organizer.
