Grimsby Fire Department’s annual Open House and Great Escape is teed up and ready to go this Sunday, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at 261 Ontario Street, Station 1.
“It is always a lot of fun. There are a lot things to see and do,” said fire prevention inspector Steve Campbell.
“This is an interactive and informative event for all ages which reinforces the importance of Fire Prevention.”
On the roster of events of indoor and outdoors activities:
• experience what is like to be a firefighter
• climb into a fire truck
• try hose target practice
• visit with Sparky the Fire Dog
There will be refreshments and giveaways and don’t forget to bring your home fire escape plan for a chance to win one of two Firefighter For A Day prizes.
