Police request public assistance in locating witnesses to collision

The Niagara Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating witnesses to a traffic collision that occurred at approximately 7:30 am on Thursday May 21.

At that time, a cyclist was travelling northbound on Victoria Avenue between Culp Street and Greenlane Avenue in Vineland when they were struck by a white SUV which was attempting to pass a left turning vehicle.

The white SUV struck the cyclist lightly, forcing them off the road and causing injury.

The driver of the white SUV made no attempt stop or render assistance to the cyclist.

It is unknown if the driver of the white SUV is aware they struck the cyclist.

The driver of the white SUV, or anyone who may have been in this area at the time of the collision is asked to contact Constable McKnight at 905-688-4111 Ext 3300.
