The community is encouraged to participate in the Grimsby Benevolent Fund’s annual afternoon tea in support of the food bank programs and services.
The experience will be unique. Guests attending the tea, which takes place at St. Andrews Church Parish Hall from 1:30-4 p.m., on Thursday, May 14, will pick their fine China teacup. There will be sandwiches, sweets, door prizes, a silent auction and more. Guests will even be able to take their teacup home with them.
Tickets are $15 a person and are available at the GBF store, 40 Elm St. There are limited numbers of tickets available, and they can only be purchased in advance.
Anyone wishing to donate tea cups, tea pots, or an auction item for this event may do so by visiting the store. For more information, call 905 309-5663 ext. 33.
