Grimsby waterfront focus of discussion

“Possibilities” has been a key  word with regard to Grimsby’s waterfront for many years.

This Wednesday, Oct. 16, area residents will have an opportunity to discuss those possibilities, ideas and dreams with town officials at a visioning workshop.

The Town of Grimsby has launched a study to develop a Master Plan for the West End Waterfront –– the area between Fifty Point Conservation Area the Region’s pumping station.

The key aspect of the study will be to provide design recommendations for the location of a waterfront trail, possible amenities, lookout locations and shoreline protection measures. The plan will provide recommendations about the design and form of development along the waterfront and how it would integrate with the public open space system.

Residents are invited to this workshop session with staff and a consultant team to learn about the study and to provide input on design directions.

Information gathered will go to an advisory committee for future direction.
