Thursday, October 9th – 7:30-9:00PM at the Livingston Activity Centre, located at 18 Livingston Avenue, in Grimsby.
GHS Speaker Series presents guest speaker Ev Page, PLCGS as she presents “Small Town, Big Courage: WWII Stories from Grimsby”
As a GHS Archives volunteer, Ev Page has been researching WWII stories relating to the Grimsby community and has uncovered many stories of courage, sacrifice and support. Ev will share those stories during the evening.
Imagine learning your ancestor was:
- on an escort ship in the Atlantic
- helping liberate Holland
- a Lancaster crew member
- ensured letters from home reached the front lines or
- hosted a British soldier
Ev is a genealogist who has achieved a Professional Learning Certificate with the National Institute for Genealogical Studies, specializing in British and Canadian Programs.
The event is free for Society members and $10 for guests.
